Denver- Metropolitan State University of Denver men's and women's tennis team will host the 2016 Roadrunner Invitations Saturday September 17-18 at the Regency Athletic Complex.

The MSU Denver men's tennis team kicked off the 2016 season in a split on September 9 at the Pueblo Duals, defeating Texas-Permian Basin 8-1 and falling to Nebraska-Kearney 7-2. The Roadrunners had an impressive performance against Texas-Permian Basin, coming away with victories in all three of the doubles matches. The men carried their momentum over into the singles matches gaining the win 5-1.

The MSU Denver women's tennis team split at the Pueblo Duals last Saturday with a win against Texas-Permian Basin 7-2 and a loss to Nebraska-Kearney 6-3. The Roadrunners recorded victories in all doubles matches and four out of six single matches. They would go on to defeat Fort Hayes State 8-1.

The men's and women's team will begin play for the Roadrunner Invitational Saturday at the Regency Athletic Complex.Â
