Denver- Metropolitan State University of Denver Director of Athletics
Dr. Anthony Grant announced that 89 student-athletes were named to the 2017 Fall Semester Athletic Director's Honor Roll, a department record. The 89 student-athletes achieved a 2017 Fall Semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
"Educating student-athletes is at the heart of our mission at MSU Denver," said Director of Athletics
Dr. Anthony Grant. "To have a record number of student-athletes post a semester GPA of at least 3.5 and be represented on the AD Honor Roll is something that we can be proud of as a department and a university."
Of the 89 student athletes 11 received a 4.0 GPA. The student-athletes with a term GPA of 4.0 include:
Josh Graetz (Albury, Australia/The Scots School) and Calum Hays from men's tennis;
Harley Huser (Thornton, Colo./Mountain Range H.S.) and
Kristyn Peters (Lakewood, CO/Dakota Ridge) from softball;
Mariah Schroeder (Caledonia, Minnesota/Caledonia High School) and
Jonalyn Wittwer (Fall Creek, Wis./Fall Creek H.S.) from women's basketball;
Shelby Bartlett (Stockton, Calif/Bear Creek ) from women's golf;
Kaylee Bourelle (Castle Rock, Colo./Castle View High School) from women's soccer;
Emily Kerr (Winchester, England/Peter Symonds College) from women's tennis; and
Alyssa Kelling (Merton, Wis./Arrowhead H.S.) and
Stephanie Laraway (Lakewood, Colo./Lakewood H.S.) from volleyball.
