30-3 overall, 21-1 RMAC regular-season champions, Central Region champions (Elite Eight). … First-year Roadrunners coach Tanya Haave took the program further than it had ever been before, leading it to a berth in the Elite Eight as Central Region champions and to a school-record 30 wins. The Roadrunners started the season 15-0 (tying the school record for longest winning streak) before losing at fifth-ranked Fort Lewis, then won another 12 in a row before losing at No. 6 Fort Lewis in the RMAC Tournament championship game in Pueblo, Colo. In the regional tournament, the 10th-ranked Roadrunners beat Winona State (Minn.) and ninth-ranked Wayne State (Neb.) before an impressive come-from-behind win over Adams State to reach the Elite Eight, holding the Grizzlies to four field goals in the final 30 minutes while overcoming a 14-point deficit. In the national quarterfinals, Shaw (N.C.) scored a basket at the buzzer to cap a comeback from a four-point deficit in the final 17 seconds to defeat the Roadrunners 46-45.
