Emilio Romero
Romero was team MVP for the Roadrunners men's soccer team from 1975-77. He was named All-America in 1977 after leading all of NAIA in goals scored. Following his time at Metro State, he went on to an nine-year professional playing career. He finished his playing career in 1986 and was a youth coach until 2007, along with two years as an assistant with the Colorado Rapids in 1995 and 1996. He spent eight years coaching professional soccer.
