The Metro State volleyball team (16-8, 14-3 RMAC) used a balanced attack and strong blocking to defeat Colorado Christian, 25-12, 25-19, 25-19, Saturday night in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) play at the Auraria Events Center.
The 'Runners used all 13 players on their roster in the victory. Julie Causseaux led the team in kills with nine, followed by Emily Greenhalgh with six kills, six assists and three blocks. Erin Keller chipped in three kills off the bench and Shayne Kovach (one kill, one block) and Adrienne Matthews (one block) saw playing time.
MSCD finished RMAC regular season play next weekend at Chadron State and Colorado School of Mines. Both matches are scheduled for 7 p.m. The match against the Orediggers has added significance as they are currently ranked No. 8 in the Central region, one spot behind the Roadrunners.
