Metropolitan State University of Denver is a comprehensive, public four-year institution granting bachelor's degrees through its three colleges (Business, Professional Studies, and Letters, Arts and Sciences) as well as the School of Education and School of Hospitality, Events and Tourism. It offers more than 85 majors, more than 70 minors, and 38 certificate programs, as well as an Individualized Degree Program that gives you a competitive edge in your career. MSU Denver also offers
seven Master's Programs.

MSU Denver is a member of NCAA Division II (
www.NCAA.com) and competes in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (
www.rmacsports.org). Currently, MSU Denver sponsors 16 sports, providing over 200 student-athletes an opportunity to compete in one of the top programs in NCAA Division II while earning their degree.
MSU Denver Athletics Highlights
Since joining the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in 1996, MSU Denver has won 44 RMAC Tournament championships and 43 regular-season championships.

MSU Denver has made 105 NCAA championship appearances all-time among its current athletics programs.
The men's basketball program -- which has the best all-time winning percentage in Division II history -- has made 19 NCAA Division II Tournament appearances, including 17 in a row from 1998 through 2015. The volleyball program has made 19 consecutive NCAA postseason appearances and 26 overall, while the women's soccer program has made 14 NCAA tournaments, including 13 in a row from 2002 through 2014. Since 2008, 14 of MSU Denver's 16 athletic programs have been represented in NCAA postseason competition.
MSU Denver

has won four team

national championships and captured five individual national championships. Men's basketball won national titles in 2000 and 2002 and women's soccer won championships in 2004 and 2006.
Men's indoor track student-athlete Anthony Luna captured the 2009 indoor and outdoor NCAA national championships in the 800-meter run. In swimming, which is no longer offered at MSU Denver, Darwin Strickland won national titles in both the 50- and 100-meter freestyle in 1994 and repeated as national champion in the 100 free in 1995.
There have been 145 different individuals who have earned a total of 306 All-America honors while competing at MSU Denver.

MSU Denver has had 16 different individuals earn Academic All-America honors, including women's soccer player Rachel Zollner (2006, 2007), men's basketball players Jesse Wagstaff (2008, 2009), Jonathan Morse (2012, 2013), Mitch McCarron (2014, 2015) and Nicholas Kay (2014, 2015), men's soccer player Marc Herschberger (2011, 2012), and men's cross country athlete Kirk Harvey (2012, 2013, 2014) as multiple-time honorees.
MSU Denver has produced five national players of the year. Ymara Guante (2004) and Kylee Hanavan (2006) each were named NSCAA/adidas National Player of the Year in women's soccer. Mark Worthington was named NABC Player of the Year for men's basketball in 2005. Brandon Jefferson was the consensus Division II player of the year in men's basketball in 2014. Mitch McCarron was named NABC Player of the Year for men's basketball in 2015.
