The No. 16 Metro State men's soccer team (6-1-1, 3-0-1 RMAC) scored a season-high eight goals in routing Colorado Christian, 8-0, Friday afternoon in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) play in Lakewood, Colo.

Metro State's leading scorers Kellen Johnson and Ola Sandquist again had a huge game. Johnson had four goals and Sandquist had three assists and two goals. The pair were responsible for the first six goals of the contest. Scott Grode added his second goal of the season and Ryan Brooks his first of the season to round out the 'Runners scoring.

Things will get dramatically more difficult for the 'Runners as they host No. 3 Midwestern State, Sunday at 11 a.m. The Mustangs knocked the 'Runners out of last year's NCAA tournament.
