LAKEWOOD, Colo. -- Sharaya Selsor led Metro State with 18 points, but the Roadrunners fell to Colorado Christian, 61-71.
Rae Bean started a 16-0 first-half run for the Roadrunners with a layup and Selsor capped the run with a three-pointer with 11:18 to play before intermission to give Metro State a 20-7 lead. But the Cougars rallied to knot the game at 34-34 at the break.
Megan Sinclair opened the scoring in the second half with a layup to give Metro State a 36-34 advantage. The Cougars responded with a 9-0 run to take control and never trailed again en route to their sixth RMAC win of the year.
Bean and Sinclair each finished with 14 points for Metro State, now 8-10 overall and 6-4 in conference.
Talmai Aguirre posted a game-high 19 points for the Cougars, who improved to 6-4 in the RMAC and 10-8 overall.
Metro State visits Colorado Mines Saturday, Jan. 31 before returning home for a four-game home stand beginning with a matchup vs. Chadron State on Feb. 7.
