DENVER - No. 25 Regis University rallied at home to knock off No. 14 Metro State 20-25, 25-17, 24-26, 25-20, 15-11 on Tuesday. The Roadrunners dropped to 8-4 overall and 3-1 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while the Rangers improved to 8-4 overall and 4-0 in the RMAC.

Emily Greenhalgh (Conifer, Colo./Conifer H.S.) and the team held on to take the first set.
After hitting .000 and committed 16 errors in the second set, the Roadrunners responded with their best set offensively in the third, hitting .351. Greenhalgh had six kills in the third and
Bri Morley (Parker, Colo./Cherokee Trail H.S.) had five as setter
Sarah McGaffin (Phoenix, Ariz./Horizon H.S.) dished out 14 assists. Despite the statistical dominance in the third, Regis had set point at 24-23 before Morley blocked an attempt to even the score. Metro State scored the next to points to win the set.
But that was all the Roadrunners would get. They again hit just .190 in the fourth and .095 in the deciding set, while the Rangers combined to hit .367 in the final two frames. Morley made her best effort to rally her team, putting down seven kills in the fourth, but the rest of the team combined for just five. She also added three in the fifth.
For the match, Morley led Metro State with 23 kills and 15 digs. Greenhalgh added 15 kills. As a team, Metro State hit just .199.
Metro State will host Colorado Christian at 7 p.m. on Friday.
