LAKEWOOD, Colo. - Four players scored in double figures as Metro State earned a 65-52 victory at Colorado Christian on Friday night. The Roadrunners improved to 17-3 overall and 14-2 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while CCU fell to 6-13 and 5-11.
Quaran Johnson (Philadelphia, Pa./Friends' Central H.S.) led all scorers with 16 points, hitting 6-of-10 from the floor and adding five rebounds and two assists.
Brandon Jefferson (Flower Mound, Texas/Lewisville H.S.) poured in 14, hitting three 3-pointers and swiping four steals.
Reggie Evans (Aurora, Colo./Rangeview H.S.) and
Glenn Miller (Sacramento, Calif./Foothill H.S.) each had 10 points.
Jonathan Morse (Boulder, Colo./Fairview H.S.) just missed a double-double, pulling down 11 rebounds to go with eight points. #A.J. Flournoy

The Roadrunners shot 43.4 percent in the game and CCU connected at a 42.5 percent clip. The difference came in the turnover battle as Metro State committed just 10, while forcing 16.
CCU led 20-18 with just under six minutes left in the first half when Metro State went on a 13-1 run to take a 10-point lead. Jefferson buried a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give the Roadrunners that 10-point margin at 34-24 entering halftime.
An uneventful second half saw the Roadrunners stretch their lead to 18 points with 3:29 left at 65-47 before a pair of late CCU baskets cut the final lead to 13. Metro State led by double digits the entire second half.
Abram Ziemer buried four 3-pointers and scored 14 points to lead the Cougars.
The Roadrunners will play at Colorado Mines on Saturday night at 8 p.m.
