The Roadrunners were led by a trio of attackers in their victory. Amy Wong (Litchfield Park, Ariz./Millennium H.S.), Kylie Haun (Simpsonville, S.C./Hillcrest H.S.) and Lauren Quijano (Wildomar, Calif./Elsinore H.S.) combined for 27 of Metro State's 37 kills. Quijano's eight kills went along with her .353 hitting percentage.

Setter Vanessa Gemignani (Colorado Springs/Doherty H.S.) set up her team's .260 hitting percentage as she added 22 assists. Gemignani also added eight digs to her night.

Libero Alex Green (Peoria, Ariz./Cactus H.S.) joined fellow teammates Amy Wong (Litchfield Park, Ariz./Millennium H.S.) and Savannah Garcia (Platteville, Colo./Valley H.S.) to lead all Roadrunners with 10 digs each.

The quick match was expedited by Chadron State's poor hitting percentage of .019.

Metro State never gave up a lead in the first set which included a hitting percentage of .355.

The second set looked scary for the Roadrunners when they were down 18-15. However the team would rally for 10 of the next 13 points to end the set 25-21.

Although the Roadrunners found themselves down early in the third set, they burst past the Eagles for dominate third set victory 25-10.

The Roadrunners look to improve to 2-0 in conference play tomorrow at 4 p.m against the Black Hills State Yellow Jackets.
