Box Score DENVER - No. 10 Metro State made 32 errors in its 25-19, 25-19, 25-20 loss to No. 14 West Texas A&M on Friday at the Colorado Premier Challenge in Denver. The Roadrunners fell to 3-2 overall on the season, while the Lady Buffs improved to 5-1.
In addition to 18 attack errors, MSU had seven service errors, two receiving errors, two blocking erorrs and three ball-handling errors in the loss as WTAMU controlled play throughout the match. the Lady Buffs hit .287, while Metro hit just .171.
Offensively,
Lauren Quijano (Wildomar, Calif./Elsinore H.S.) was a bright spot with a season-high 15 kills, hitting .448 (15-2-29).
Alysa Heath (Littleton, Colo./Chatfield H.S.) added 12 kills and hit .296 (12-4-27).
Alex Green (Peoria, Ariz./Cactus H.S.) led the defense with 16 digs and
Vanessa Gemignani (Colorado Springs/Doherty H.S.) had 32 assists.
The Roadrunners are back in action tonight against No. 5 Central Missouri.
