Box Score DENVER - Cassie Lambrecht (Colorado Springs/Golden H.S.) scored 16 points, but it was not enough as Metro State fell 75-63 to No. 24 Minnesota State at home on Friday. The Mavericks improved to 2-1 overall.
Lambrecht shot 5-of-10 from the floor and 5-of-6 at the line. 
Tai Jensen (Troy, Idaho/Troy H.S.) provided 12 points and seven rebounds off the bench. 
Amy Nelson (Richmond, Utah/Sky View H.S.) scored 10 with eight rebounds. 
Deni Jacobs (Plains, Kan./Southwestern Heights H.S.) added nine points and 10 rebounds off the bench.
The Mavericks held Metro State to just 33.3 percent shooting and forced 20 turnovers.
The Roadrunners fell behind by 11 points midway through the first half, but cut the deficit to 34-30 at halftime.
Minnesota State built a 22-point lead at 64-42 with 7:42 left in the game. Metro State got within seven points in the final minute before the 12-point loss.
The Roadrunners will face Nebraska-Kearney at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
