Box Score CHADRON, Neb. - Cassie Lambrecht (Colorado Springs/Golden H.S.) had 16 points, four assists and four steals as Metro State earned a 76-40 win at Chadron State on Friday night in Chadron, Neb. The Roadrunners improved to 13-6 overall and 11-3 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while CSC fell to 3-15 and 3-11.
Lambrecht buried 4-of-8 3-point field goals, and had 13 points on 5-of-6 shooting in the first half.
Amy Nelson (Richmond, Utah/Sky View H.S.) was also in double figures with 13 points, hitting 6-of-7 from the floor. Freshman
Autumn Chidester (Canadian, Texas/Canadian H.S.) scored a career-high 10 points off the bench.
Kristin Valencia (Moriarty, N.M./Moriarty H.S.) led the team with 10 rebounds and added six points and three assists.
Tai Jensen (Troy, Idaho/Troy H.S.) and
Jenessa Burke (Aurora, Colo./Highlands Ranch H.S.) scored eight points each off the bench, while
Emily Wood (Louisville, Colo./Monarch H.S.) and
Kya DeGarmo (Albuquerque, N.M./Eldorado H.S.) joined Valencia with six points each as the Roadrunners had a balanced scoring effort.
MSU shot 43.3 percent from the floor and hit 8-of-18 (.444) from the outside. The Roadrunners also had a 42-33 rebounding advantage and won the turnover battle 9-to-18 with 11 steals.
Lambrecht's hot start led the Roadrunners to a 36-20 lead at halftime.
The final margin of 36 points was the largest lead for Metro State.
MSU will play at Black Hills State at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
