COMMERCE, Texas - No. 13 Metropolitan State University of Denver fell 2-0 to Angelo State on Friday in the first round of the NCAA tournament in Commerce, Texas. The Roadrunners fell to 14-2-5 overall to end the season, while ASU improved to 16-4-1.

Breanna Flores (Gilbert, Ariz./Gilbert H.S.) stopped the initial shot by Cynthia Andrews with a diving save, but Tiffany Dang was there to tap in the rebound at the right goal post.
MSU Denver had plenty of chances to tie the game in the second half, putting three of its nine shot attempts on frame and earning three corner kicks, but could not get one past ASU goalkeeper Shantel Wittke.
Sierra Anderson scored for the Rambelles with two seconds left after a failed clearance by Flores left Anderson open for an easy goal. Flores made seven saves in the game.
