MSU Denver will open 2015 at home vs. New Mexico Highlands and Western New Mexico on Friday and Saturday.

Notes:
RECENT NOTES
•    Emily Hartegan (Frisco, Texas/Wylie East H.S.) became the first MSU Denver freshman since Stacey Cox (2005-06) to score over 20 points in back-to-back games on Dec. 19 and 20.
•    Hartegan had 20 points and 10 rebounds on 10-of-13 shooting vs. Black Hills State on Dec. 19 and had 21 points on 10-of-13 shooting the following night vs. Chadron State.
•    Hartegan and Deni Jacobs (Plains, Kan./Southwestern Heights H.S.) both had double-doubles vs. Black Hills State on Dec. 19, the first time since Feb. 21 last season in an overtime game vs. Fort Lewis that two players have achieved that in the same game.
•    MSU Denver has shot 40 percent or better in all nine games this season, tying the school record.
•    The Roadrunners shot 40 percent or better in the final nine games of the 2008-09 season and in 1991 between the end of the 1990-91 season and 1991-92 season.
•    Ohrdorf's 15 rebounds against Texas A&M International on Nov. 28 were the most for a freshman since Kristin Valencia had 17 on March 5, 2010, against Fort Lewis.
•    MSU Denver went 10-6 over its final 16 games last season, allowing 58.1 points per game and a .389 field goal percentage with a +3.2 rebounding margin and +1.7 turnover margin in those games.
•    MSU Denver was 4-10 in games decided by 10 points or less, but won three of its last five.
•    This season MSU Denver is 3-1 in games decided by 10 points or less.

EXHIBITION GAMES
•    MSU Denver lost 90-62 at Colorado State on Oct. 30 in an exhibition.
•    CSU is the defending Mountain West Conference champion and returns four starters this season.
•    Freshmen combined to score 44 of the team's 62 points at CSU.
•    MSU Denver also defeated Baker University 85-59 and lost to Southern Oregon 88-82 in exhibitions.
•    Baker is ranked No. 10 in the NAIA preseason top 25 and Southern Oregon was ranked No. 21 in NAIA's preseason poll.
•    Emily Hartegan (Frisco, Texas/Wylie East H.S.) had 18 points and nine rebounds and Georgia Ohrdorf (Wollongong, Australia/St. Mary Star of the Sea College) provided 12 points.
•    Erin McClarie (Highlands Ranch, Colo./Rock Canyon H.S.) had six points and a game-high six assists.
•    Deni Jacobs (Plains, Kan./Southwestern Heights H.S.) led the team in scoring in the three exhibitions, averaging 15.0 points and 6.0 rebounds.
•    Ohrdorf averaged 13.0 points, followed by Hartegan (12.3 PPG and 8.3 RPG) and Hannah Stipanovich (St. Louis, Mo./Clayton H.S.) (12.0).
•    Jacobs and Stipanovich were named to the Holiday Inn Cherry Creek Classic all-tournament team after averaging 20.0 points and 14.0 points, respectively.

DOMINATING THE CLASSROOM
• MSU Denver had a 3.39 team GPA for the 2013-14 school year.
•    In addition, 13 players were named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll (3.5 GPA or higher) between the two semesters, including four that made it both semesters (Deni Jacobs (Plains, Kan./Southwestern Heights H.S.), Tai Jensen (Troy, Idaho/Troy H.S.), Cassie Lambrecht (Colorado Springs/Golden H.S.) and Amy Nelson (Richmond, Utah/Sky View H.S.)):
•    Nelson (3.81 cumulative GPA), Lambrecht (3.74), Jensen (3.59) and Elena Velasquez (Albuquerque, N.M./Sandia H.S.) (3.33) were named to the RMAC all-academic team.

ROADRUNNERS ACTIVE IN THE COMMUNITY
•    MSU Denver head coach Tanya Haave has had her team active in the Denver community since taking over as head coach in 2010-11.
•    Her team participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in 2010 and 2013, joining the fight against breast cancer.
•    The team also mentored kids in the I Have A Dream Foundation for youth in Denver.
•    In the 2011-12 season, her team helped build a house with Habitat for Humanity and held a coat drive and delivered the coats to the Denver Rescue Mission for the homeless in Denver.
•    For the past three seasons, the team has had activities with children of military families.
•    Additionally, the team has volunteered at Children's Hospital, with Jiminy Wicket, and Make-A-Wish in the past year.
