RMAC Tournament...MSU Denver will host an RMAC Tournament quarterfinal match on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. against UCCS. Â The Roadrunners are 0-2 against UCCS this season suffereing a 3-1 loss at home on Sept. 22 and a 3-0 loss in Colorado Springs on Nov. 14.
Conference Tournament Record...MSU Denver is 27-9 all-time in the conference tournament under Hendricks.
3-0 Loss...The Roadrunners suffered their first 3-0 loss on Nov. 14 at UCCS since Sept. 12 vs. #25 West Florida.
Making Errors...MSU Denver committed 27 attack errors on Nov. 14 at UCCS. Â The last time the Roadrunners had that many attacking errors in a three-set match was on Oct. 25, 2009 at #5 Neb.-Kearney when they had 26 errors. Â MSU Denver lost the match 3-0.
Hitting .100...The Roadrunners are 0-3 this season when they hit below .100. Â The most recent loss came at UCCS when MSU Denver hit .068 for the match.
Hitting .200...MSU Denver is a perfect 17-0 this season when the team hits over .200 for the match.
A Hot Start...The Roadrunners are 16-2 this season when they win the first set of the match. Â In 14 of those 18 matches, MSU Denver has gone on to win the second set and then the match.
Get The W...MSU Denver has two wins over ranked opponents this season. Â Both of those wins came against Colorado School of Mines. Â The first victory came on Oct. 9 with a 3-0 win in Golden when Colorado Mines was ranked No. 17. Â The second came on Oct. 28 in Denver with another 3-0 win when Colorado Mines was ranked No. 18.
Turning It Around...This was just the third time under
Debbie Hendricks that the Roadrunners have started a season with a 1-3 record. Â In 2006, the Roadrunners finished 21-10 overall, 14-5 in the RMAC and won the RMAC Tournament to reach the NCAA Tournament. Â In 2007, the team finished 16-15 overall, 13-6 in the RMAC and reached the NCAA Tournamnet.
An Ace...Brandi Torr (Albuquerque, N.M./La Cueva H.S.) was able to post five aces in the MSU Denver victory against Chadron State on Oct. 31. Â It is the first time that a Roadrunner has had five aces in a game since
Kylie Haun (Simpsonville, S.C./Hillcrest H.S.) did it against Fresno Pacific on Sept. 6, 2014.
Tough Schedule...Four of the team's losses have come to top-25 teams, including two top-10 opponents.
The Magic Number...MSU Denver is 102-0 under Coach Hendricks when the team hits .300 or better for the match. Â The Roadrunners have hit .300 in seven matches this season and are a perfect 7-0.
Snapped Streak...The 3-1 loss at Colorado Mesa on Oct. 24 marked the end of a 10-match winning streak for the Roadrunners. Â The streak was the longest since a 14-match winning streak from Oct. 5, 2010 to Nov. 13, 2010.
Torr Honored Twice...Brandi Torr (Albuquerque, N.M./La Cueva H.S.) was named the RMAC setter of the week on Oct. 26. Â She tallied a total of 96 assists, 17 digs, and five service aces in matches against Westminster and Colorado Mines. Â Torr was also named RMAC setter of the week on Oct. 5 after averaging 12.60 assists and 2.80 digs, helping the team hit .310 during a 3-0 week vs. Regis, South Dakota Mines and Black Hills State.
Hoerdemann Times Two...Ryan Hoerdemann (Littleton, Colo./Arapahoe H.S.) was named RMAC offensive player of the week on Oct. 19 after posting a hitting percentage of .657 for the weekend against N.M. Highlands and Western N.M. Â Hoerdemann also earned RMAC offensive player of the week on Oct. 5 after averaging 3.40 kills and hitting .491 in three wins.
