The Roadrunners will travel to Michigan for the Ferris State Invitational this weekend. They will play four matches.

Notes:
•    MSU Denver made its 22nd NCAA tournament appearance and 15th consecutive in 2014, the fourth-longest active streak in Division II.

•    MSU Denver's nine-match home winning streak Sept. 13 to Nov. 4 was the longest since 12 from Oct. 22, 2004 to Oct. 28, 2005.

•    The nine-match overall winning streak (Oct. 3 to Nov. 4) was the longest since a 14-match winning streak in 2010.

•    The 21-3 start to the season matched the best start since the team started 22-2 through 24 matches in 1993, tying the 21-3 start of 2001.

•    MSU Denver's 15-2 win in the fifth set at UCCS on Oct. 18 was the most lopsided fifth set in school history, bettering a pair of 15-5 wins (vs. Augustana, 8/26/06; vs. Regis 11/1/11).

•    MSU Denver started RMAC play with a 6-0 mark, the best start in conference play since 2002 when the Roadrunners won their first 14 RMAC matches.

•    Brandi Torr (Albuquerque, N.M./La Cueva H.S.) was named RMAC setter of the week on Sept. 22 after averaging 12.82 assists and helping the team hit .293 in three road wins.

•    MSU Denver has opened the season with four wins nine times in the school's 47-year history of volleyball (1978, 1981, 1983, 1989, 1990, 1993, 2009, 2011, 2014).

•    MSU Denver swept No. 5 Central Missouri on Sept. 13, 2014, the first time the Roadrunners have swept a top-five opponent since No. 3 Truman State in 2003.

•    Torr was second among setters in assists at the Colorado Premier Challenge, averaging 12.43 assists to go with 2.50 digs, while helping the team hit .242.

•    In a 3-1 win over Cal State Monterey Bay on Sept. 6, MSU Denver won the third set 25-8 for the second-most lopsided win in history (30-5 vs. Colorado Christian, 9/13/05 is the most lopsided set victory).

•    The Roadrunners are picked second in the RMAC behind Colorado School of Mines.

•    Torr was named preseason all-RMAC.

MSU Denver successful in preseason
tournaments:
•    MSU Denver is 68-49 (.581) in preseason tournaments since Debbie Hendricks became head coach in 2000.

•    A 7-1 record is the best the Roadrunners have done in preseason tournaments, doing so twice (2009 and 2011).

•    MSU Denver has posted a 22-10 (.688) record in preseason tournaments over the past four seasons including 2014.

•    MSU Denver is 37-39 all-time at the Colorado Premier Challenge and has won the tournament once (2003).
