Denver- The Metropolitan State University of Denver volleyball plays their final regular season game of the year this Thursday, November 9 against Colorado Mesa in Grand Junction at 7 p.m.

The Roadrunners won both games at home last weekend defeating Western State 3-0 and Colorado Mesa 3-1 bringing their overall record to 18-7 on the year and 15-2 in the RMAC.

Santaisha Sturges (Parker, Colo./Regis Jesuit H.S.) led MSU Denver past the Mountaineers with 12 kills and 12 digs in the first match. JuniorÂ
Taylor Duryea (Logan, Utah/Sky View High School) also had a big game with 11 kills and senior Vasatia Fiatoa recorded 10 kills.

In the Roadrunners match against Colorado Mesa the Roadrunners took the match in four sets. Senior setter
Alyssa Svalberg (Aurora, Colo./Grandview H.S.) tallied 40 assists on the night and senior
Jackie Lopez (Encino, Calif./Notre Dame H.S.) came up big with 15 digs. Sturges recorded another double double with 15 kills and 15 digs.
