Men’s Basketball: Roadrunners Kick off 2017-18 Season in Texas

Roadrunners take on Tarleton on first game of the season

Denver- The Metropolitan State University of Denver men's basketball team will kick off its 2017-18 season in Stephenville, Texas where they will play two games against Tarleton State and Angelo State.
 
The Roadrunners first game will take place Friday, November 10 against Tarleton at 7 p.m. CT.  The second game of the road trip will take place Saturday against Angelo State at 2 p.m.
 
MSU Denver is coming off the 2016-17 season going 17-13 overall and 12-10 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play.  The Roadrunners fell in the RMAC semifinal game against Colorado School of Mines. 
 
Head coach Michael Bahl enters into his first season as head coach for the Roadrunners. The team will return nine and add seven newcomers to the roster.
 
Tarleton is coming off the 2016-17 season going 22-8 overall and 13-5 in the Lone Star Conference.  This season the Texans were picked to finish third in the preseason conference poll.
 
Angelo finished the 2016-17 season with an overall record of 17-12 and a conference record of 7-11. The Rams were selected to finish sixth in the Lone Star Conference.
