Grand Junction, Colo.- The Metropolitan State University of Denver softball team fell 10-0 to Adams State in game two of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

Cassidy Smith (Loveland, Colo./Loveland H.S.) started game two for the Roadrunners against the Grizzlies.
The Grizzlies having the upper hand through the first three innings putting up two runs in the top of the first innings. The Grizzlies lead off with the first two batters hitting a single and a triple to make it on the board. They would go on to score one more run but the Roadrunners made it out of the inning allowing two runs off five hits.

The Roadrunners were held to just one hit in the bottom of the inning with senior
Brooke Lovas (Chino Hills, Calif./Chino Hills H.S.) hitting a single to left field. Adams State came out on fire in the second inning scoring one early and adding a three run home run to go up on the Roadrunners 6-0.

The Grizzlies continued to put pressure on the Roadrunners holding them to one hit through the second and third inning and adding three more runs in the top of the third off two hits extending the lead to 9-0.

The fourth inning was scoreless for both sides with each team posting one hit on the inning.

The Grizzlies added one more run in the top of the fifth which would prove to be enough with Adams State earning the 10-0 win over the Roadrunners.

MSU Denver finish their 2017 season going 34-21 overall. Â
