RAPID CITY, S.D. – No player had more than eight kills, but seven had at least four, as the Metropolitan State University of Denver volleyball team finished off a weekend sweep in South Dakota on Saturday.
MSU Denver sailed to a 25-11, 25-23, 25-19 victory over South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, one night after cruising past Black Hills State.
"It's great to finish this road trip in six sets," MSU Denver coach
Jenny Glenn said. "Both (South Dakota) teams have the ability to put pressure on you, and we were able to sustain those moments."
The Roadrunners improved to 17-8 overall and 13-3 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
South Dakota Mines dropped to 4-23 and 1-16.
Taylor Duryea (Logan, Utah/Sky View) had team highs of eight kills and 19 digs to lead the balanced attack.
Kayla White (Montgomery, Ala./Montgomery Academy) added seven kills, while
Santaisha Sturges (Parker, Colo./Regis Jesuit) had six kills and 17 digs.
Lyric Hebert (Arvada, Colo./Ralston Valley) had 18 digs, while

MSU Denver held the Hardrockers to an .034 hitting percentage, the eighth time this season a Roadrunners' opponent has hit less than .100.
The Roadrunners have swept 11 opponents this season, matching last year's total and tied for the most since a 12-sweep 2015 campaign.
MSU Denver is 6-0 all-time against the Hardrockers, losing only one set to them earlier this season.
The Roadrunners return home next week and wrap up the regular-season with back-to-back matches against Chadron State, with start times of 7 p.m. both Thursday and Friday.
