DENVER – Due to expected inclement weather, the schedule for the Metropolitan State University of Denver baseball team's season-opening series at Cal State San Marcos has been altered.
Instead of playing one game each day from Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the two schools will play a doubleheader on Friday, Feb. 1. Friday's first game is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. MT. Friday's first game will be a full nine-inning game, while game two will be seven innings. Video streaming will be available for each game, weather permitting.
The schools will not play on Saturday.
Sunday's game is still scheduled to begin at its original time of 12 p.m., but there is a possibility of moving the game to a turf field in the San Diego area if the field at Cal State San Marcos is deemed unplayable.
