CHADRON, Neb. – MSU Denver finished the men's basketball season impressively, with an 89-79 victory over Chadron State, a two-game winning streak and multiple career-best performances from its players.

Garrett Carter didn't just get to 1,000 career points in his final game, he left 1,000 in the dust while scoring a career-high 29 points. The senior guard wraps up his career with 1,025 points, including 565 in two seasons as a Roadrunner.

Maris Colton added 15 points, a career-high 11 rebounds and four assists, senior
Mitch Lombard had 15 points, five rebounds and a career-high seven assists and
Elijah Straughter had a career-high 15 points to go with seven rebounds. Carter also had five assists.
MSU Denver shot 51.5 percent from the field and made 12 of 28 from 3-point range for 42.9 percent. The Roadrunners were in control for most of the game, leading 94.4 percent of the time.
The 12 made 3s was the second-best total of the season for MSU Denver, which made 13 from long range in a victory over Chadron State when the teams played in Denver on Dec. 21. The Roadrunners also shot better than 50 percent from the field for the first time since shooting a season-best 57.1 percent against the Eagles in the same 82-73 victory.
MSU Denver finishes the season 12-16 overall and 8-14 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play. Chadron State ends 4-24 and 3-19.
