DENVER – On this date, Sept. 6, 2002, the MSU Denver volleyball team knocked off No. 1 West Texas A&M 3-1 (30-27, 13-30, 30-19, 30-19) to wrap up the Colorado Premier as Nicki Fusco had 23 kills, 13 digs and five blocks, Jessy Roy had 17 kills and 23 digs and Devon Herron set 60 assists while adding four blocks.
With the win, the Roadrunners started their still-standing program record of 17 straight home victories. MSU didn't lose at the Auraria Event Center until Sept. 16, 2003.

2019 – The MSU Denver volleyball team opened the season with a 3-1 win (25-18, 24-26, 25-14, 26-24) over Western Oregon and a 3-0 sweep (25-20, 25-22, 25-23) of the host school at the Concordia-Portland (Ore.) Volleyball Classic. Freshman
Rylee Hladky had 16 kills on .379 hitting in her collegiate debut while
Kayla White had a double-double in each match while compiling totals of 23 kills and 23 digs.
2016 – MSU Denver women's golfer Lindsey Gullikson finished second at the Samuel Proal Invitational to lead the Roadrunners to a second-place finish in the team race. Gullikson shot 77-74 for a two-day total over 7-over-par 151 and was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week.
2015 – Will Moats scored the first of MSU Denver's three second-half goals as the Roadrunners came from behind and defeated Montana State-Billings 4-1 in a game played in St. George, Utah, for Jeremy Tittle's first victory as the men's soccer program's head coach.
2014 – The MSU Denver volleyball team wrapped up its fourth-straight win at the season-opening Seaside Invitational in San Diego with 3-1 wins over Cal State Monterey Bay (17-25, 25-22, 25-8, 25-10) and Fresno Pacific (25-22, 20-25, 25-18, 25-19. Lauren Quijano had 17 kills in the first match and added 16 more in the nightcap.
2014 – Tess Hagenlock had a goal and an assist as the No. 16 MSU Denver women's soccer team gave up an early goal but rallied for a 2-1 win over Dallas Baptist to improve to 2-0.
2013 – Janelle Lincks finished third and Breanna Hemming was seventh to lead the MSU Denver women's cross country team to a four-place finish at the Colorado State Invitational. Lincks ran 5,000 meters in 18 minutes, 11.9 seconds, while Hemming turned in an 18:33.2 clocking.
2013 – The MSU Denver volleyball team opened the season with 3-2 wins over both Cal State East Bay (22-25, 25-21, 25-22, 18-25, 15-8) and Western Oregon (25-22, 19-25, 26-24, 20-25, 15-12) at the Western Oregon Invitational. Alysa Heath had 13 kills in the opener before pounding 23 on .405 hitting in the second match.
2013 – Carlos Mendez scored on a shot from the top left corner of the box to the bottom right side of the net at 95:18 as the MSU Denver men's soccer team opened the season with a 2-1 overtime victory against Western Washington.
2010 – Taylor Nicholls scored both goals as the No. 10 MSU Denver women's soccer team improved to 2-0 with a 2-0 win over Southwest Baptist (Mo.).
2009 – Scott Grode recorded the fastest goal to start a game in MSU Denver men's soccer history, scoring just 29 seconds into the 13
th-ranked Roadrunners' 4-1 victory over Northeastern State (Okla.).
2009 – Jen Thomas set a school-record for latest overtime goal (110-minute games only), scoring at 106:50 for to lift the No. 3 MSU Denver women's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Winona State (Minn.). Becca Mays had tied the game in the 74
th minute.
2006 – Jessica Brown and Becca Mays each scored two goals as the No. 2 MSU Denver women's soccer team stretched its unbeaten streak to 52 games with an 8-0 victory over Colorado Christian.
*2003 – The MSU Denver volleyball team defeated No. 3 Truman State (Mo.) 3-0 (30-24, 30-26, 35-33) and No. 4 Cal State San Bernardino 3-2 (30-19, 30-21, 27-30, 30-28, 15-13) to finish the Colorado Premier at 4-0 with three wins over top-10 teams. Jessy Roy had 17 kills on .341 hitting with six blocks against Truman State, then set a still-standing MSU Denver volleyball program record for attacks during the rally-scoring era with 78 against Cal State San Bernardino in a 24-kill, 22-dig performance. Roy's attack total has been matched once since.
1999 – Janice Armstrong had a goal and an assist as the MSU Denver women's soccer team improved to 3-0 with a 2-0 victory over Tampa (Fla.).
1997 – Sisters Ariana and Tarena O'Neill each scored two goals as the MSU Denver women's soccer team defeated Hardin-Simmons (Texas) 4-0.
1997 – The MSU Denver volleyball team won twice at the Colorado Premier, defeating Texas Woman's 3-2 (11-15, 15-4, 11-15, 15-6, 19-17) and Northern Colorado 3-0 (15-13, 16-14, 15-6). Audra Littou had 15 kills in the opener and added 14 more in the second match.
1992 – Adam Smith and Jeremy Loring scored first-half goals as the MSU Denver men's soccer team defeated Muhlenberg (Pa.) 2-1 to give Al Ashton a victory in his first game as head coach.
1991 – Dana Stright had 16 kills, 12 digs and four blocks as the MSU Denver volleyball team won 3-1 (6-15, 15-6, 15-10, 15-12) at Denver.
*1986 – Martin Richardson had his second hat trick in two days as the MSU Denver men's soccer team defeated Westminster 5-1. The Roadrunners upped their three-game goal total to 16, while Westminster's goal was the first scored against the Roadrunners to start the season.
