DENVER – Adams State spoiled MSU Denver's Senior Day on Sunday, as the Grizzlies picked up their first win of the season in a 3-1 decision at the Assembly Athletic Complex.
It was the Grizzlies' first-ever win in 14 games against the Roadrunners as they improved to 1-14-1 for the season.
Adams State took a 1-0 lead into halftime and made it 2-0 at 73:45.

But, pushing forward for an equalizer, the Roadrunners surrendered a game-clinching goal at 88:45.
The Roadrunners had overwhelming advantages in shots (27-8), shots on goal (8-3) and corner kicks (9-3).
MSU Denver (9-5-2 overall, 3-4-1 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) had a chance to take over sole possession of sixth place in the league heading into the final week of the regular season, while also drawing three points clear of Colorado Mesa, which holds the tiebreaker advantage over the Roadrunners.
However the loss dropped the Roadrunners and Mesa into a tie for seventh with 10 standings points, as Regis defeated Mesa and jumped into sixth with 13 points. The top six teams in the league will advance to the RMAC Tournament.
MSU Denver goes on the road to conclude the regular season at first-place UCCS and second-place CSU Pueblo. Those teams are currently ranked No. 17 and No. 3, respectively, in NCAA Division II.
