DENVER – The MSU Denver men's basketball team plays its first-round game in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at nationally-ranked Colorado Mesa.
The Roadrunners (12-16 overall) went 9-13 in league play to earn the tournament's No. 8 seed. Coloradaod Mesa (24-4) went 19-3 to tie for the regular-season championship and earned the No. 1 seed based on tiebreakers.
Tuesday winners advance to semifinals on Friday. The semifinals and final will be hosted by the highest remaining seed after Tuesday's first round.
MSU Denver and Colorado Mesa split their regular-season meetings, which each winning on the other's home floor. MSU Denver won at Colorado Mesa in December, then Colorado Mesa won at the Auraria Event Center earlier this month.
