@MSUDenverTennis: No. 31 Roadrunners Win 8th Straight Dual

Women also cruise to improve to 12-6

DENVER – The 31st-ranked MSU Denver men's tennis team, as well as the Roadrunners' women's team, cruised to easy victories Sunday over Colorado College.
 
The MSU Denver men won 6-1 for an eighth straight dual victory to improve to 12-3, while the women blanked the Tigers 7-0 and are now 12-6.
 
"Both teams did a good job of taking care of a solid CC team," MSU Denver coach Josh Graetz said. "I thought they fought hard, and we did a good job of staying focused."
 
In men's singles, 56th-ranked Jeanloup Auzias needed three sets to win his seventh straight match, but he did to improve to 14-5 for the season. Juho Kantola improved to 17-4 win a win at No. 2, and Alejandro Jimenez is now 14-5 with six straight wins at No. 3.
 
The 43rd-ranked doubles team of Kantola and David Kijak improved to 8-2 at No. 1, while Auzias and Billy McDermott are now 17-3 after winning at No. 2. Both teams have won six straight.
 
For the women, only one singles set went to a tiebreaker in six sweeps.
 
Monica Guarin moved into the lineup at No. 6, earned the second-set tiebreaker win, and improved to 9-1 for the season and 23-10 for her career. The 27th-ranked doubles team of Isabel Heras and Kinsey Fields bounced back from a Saturday loss and improved to 12-5.
