DENVER – The MSU Denver baseball team was back at the Assembly Athletic Complex on a beautiful Sunday afternoon looking to split a four-game series with the Montana State-Billings Yellowjackets after taking game two of yesterday's doubleheader. In yet another high scoring affair, the Roadrunners prevailed, winning 14-9 giving the team the split in the four-game series and improve to 7-8 overall.

The long ball was the name of this game as both teams used mother nature to their advantage to combine for a total of nine home runs: five from the Yellowjackets and four from the Roadrunners.
Jake Williams,
Cam Yuran,
Andre Chacon, and
Andrew Graham tallied the home runs for the Roadrunners.

In addition to the home runs, the Roadrunners received multi-hit games from multiple players in the lineup and were able to string together multiple quality at bats. "That first home run of the year felt really good," Chacon said. "I was just up there trying to battle, got to two strikes and it just kind of happened".

In addition to Chacon, Graham continued to be a bright spot in this dangerous Roadrunners lineup. "How I was hitting this weekend felt good for me," Graham said. "It's fun to come in and hit in a lineup like this, I always have a guy on base for me. There's always someone doing damage before me and it's contagious to do it right behind them".

Dylan Webber was on the mound to start game four and he went a strong six innings allowing five earned runs, struck out four, and walked one. "Dylan pitched well today, he really just had the one inning where they scored a bunch of runs but then he was able to bounce back and put up a bunch of zeros for us in those other innings," head coach
Ryan Strain said. When Dylan's day was done, the Roadrunners received another stellar performance from
Gavin Kaiser who worked two innings of relief today and only allowed one earned run.

The Roadrunners look to continue their two-game winning streak next weekend when they take on Minot State (N.D.) Friday, and Mary (N.D.) in a single game Saturday before starting conference play the following weekend.
