Sophomore guard averaged 19.0 points in team's final 12 games

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – MSU Denver guard Mikylah Espinosa has been named to the All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference first team for women's basketball.
 
Espinosa averaged 15.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.9 steals per game while making 35.4 percent of her 3-point attempts (45 of 127) and 82.1 percent of her free throws (64 of 78).
 
The sophomore found her scoring stride late in the season, topping 30 points three times in a seven-game stretch from Jan. 23 through Feb. 16. She averaged 19.0 points over the Roadrunners' final 12 games of the season.
 
Espinosa is ninth in the RMAC in scoring and made 3s per game. In league play, she tied for seventh in scoring (16.1 per game) and eighth with 1.8 made 3s per game.
 
In two seasons she's scored exactly 600 points, including 411 this past season.
