Roadrunners win three singles matches in three sets

DENVER – Three-set singles victories by Hanna Haber, Courtenay Leonard and Moncia Guarin helped MSU Denver secure a come-from-behind, 5-2 victory Wednesday over Stanislaus State (Calif.) in women's tennis.

The Roadrunners dropped a closely-contested doubles point to fall behind, but then won all but one of the six singles matches.

At No. 6, Guarin came all the way back after dropping the first set to win 3-6, 7-5, 6-1. At No. 5, Leonard had to dig deep for her 7-5, 5-7, 6-3 victory. And, at No. 2, Haber was a 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 winner.

MSU Denver also got victories from Emily Hafner at No. 1 (6-2, 6-2) and Kambra Roles at No. 4 (6-1, 6-3).

Guarin and Leonard got a victory in doubles, 6-4 at No. 2, but the Roadrunners lost the other two.
