The MSU Denver women's soccer team posted its fifth straight shutout to start the season, and for the fourth time played to a 0-0 tie, Thursday night at Angelo State (Texas).
It's the second time since 2009 that MSU Denver has had five consecutive shutouts – it did the same from Oct. 2 through Oct. 20, 2022. The Roadrunners' last streak of six clean sheets in a row was from Oct. 11 through Oct. 30, 2009.

Kylie Bach, in net for every minute this season, now has 21 career shutouts. The Roadrunners have 34 shutouts in the 62 games since
Kat Mertz became head coach in 2021.
MSU Denver had six shots on goal and took two corner kicks, while Angelo State (2-1-1) put two shots on goal and had two corner kicks. Angelo State had scored a total of six goals in its first three games.
Sami Spring had two shots on goal for MSU Denver.
The Roadrunners are now 1-0-4 heading into a Sunday home showdown against No. 7 Cal Poly Pomona, beginning at noon at the Assembly Athletic Complex. Cal Poly Pomona is 4-0 heading into a Friday night game at CSU Pueblo.
