CHADRON, Neb. – It took a set longer than she probably would have liked, but MSU Denver volleyball coach
Jenny Glenn got her 200
th career victory Saturday night in a 3-1 (23-25, 25-21, 25-11, 25-14) decision at Chadron State.

Glenn is now 200-48 (.806 winning percentage) in her ninth season and is 127-9 (.934) in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference matches.

"Just like we talk about with our athletes and their accomplishments, it isn't possible without all the people around them doing their work," Glenn said. "I have a great staff, assistants who work really hard and who I continue to give more work to because they're experienced and capable. And there has been a lot of great athletes who have come through and bought into the mission and worked really hard every day on the court . It doesn't matter how good of a coach you are, if you don't have those pieces, you aren't going to win.

"And then we're at a university that supports volleyball and gives us the resources we need to have a winning program."

The Roadrunners, ranked No. 2 in NCAA Division II, improved to 9-1 overall and 2-0 in the RMAC.

It was the second straight match in which MSU Denver had a slow first set – the Roadrunners fought off four set points before winning the opener in a 3-0 sweep Friday at Colorado Christian – and couldn't quite overcome it this time.

"We made some errors, their crowd got behind them, it got loud and it turned into string of errors that pushed us back," Glenn said. "Fourteen of their 25 points were on our hitting and serving errors, and it's tough to overcome that when you're that high-error."

It was just the second time Chadron State has taken a set from the Roadrunners in their last nine meetings. MSU Denver has won 33 straight against the Eagles dating to 2004 and is 56-2 all-time in the series.

MSU Denver led 20-13 in the second set before Chadron State rallied to make it closer, and then the Roadrunners played with comfortable leads in the final two sets.

"We did a nice job of responding over the last three sets, controlling the match and staying present in each point and not allowing runs to happen," Glenn said. "We showed a lot of maturity and composure and composure."

The Roadrunners ripped a season-high 13 service aces – their most in any match since getting 14 in a four-set win over Colorado School of Mines on Jan. 24, 2021 – led by four from
Annika Helf. It was high-risk, high-reward, as the Roadrunners did have 18 service errors.

"We created a good separation with our service aces," Glenn said. "Aces and blocks usually create that when it's a point for point kind of match, and our serving did open some things up for us. It can put pressure on your opponent."

MSU Denver also had 12.0 total blocks, including seven by
Kryssa Moerman.

Riley Anderson had 16 kills, while Helf added 13 and
Maddy Williams had 10.

The Roadrunners hit .303 for the match, including .520 in the third set (14 kills, one error, 25 attacks). Helf hit .423, while middle blockers Moerman and
Alyssa Boyte each had seven kills while hitting .417 and .429, respectively. Boyte had five blocks (two solo).

Delaney Eckhardt set 34 assists and
Abbie McCrimmon had 17 digs.
