COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The MSU Denver baseball team has been picked to finish third in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in the league's annual preseason coaches poll.
The Roadrunners made their seventh straight trip to the RMAC Tournament last season while going 28-24 overall and 19-13 in the RMAC for a fourth place finish.
The Roadrunners return All-American outfielder
Jesse Velders and All-RMAC honorees in Dylan Webber, Tyler Tobey, Cam Yuran and Cal Walsh. Velders, Webber, Tobey and Yuran were selected as Preseason Players to Watch by the conference.
Colorado Mesa, who has won the last 12 RMAC regular season championships, earned eight first-place votes and have been picked by the coaches to finish first. Regis was picked to finish second and received one first-place vote.
MSU Denver opens its season in Edmond, Oklahoma where they will compete in the First Pitch Invitational on Jan 31 through February 2. They will first take on Emporia State on Friday, January 31 at 9 a. m. mountain time.
