This Week in Roadrunners Athletics

DENVER — Championship season is in full swing, and the Roadrunners are staring down another busy — and potentially historic — week across the board. With postseason volleyball arriving on campus and both basketball programs heading back on the road, here's what's ahead for MSU Denver Athletics.

Volleyball
The No. 1-seeded MSU Denver volleyball team continues its postseason push at home this weekend, hosting the semifinals and championship rounds of the 2025 RMAC Tournament at the Auraria Event Center.

MSU Denver enters Friday riding a 15-match winning streak and four straight RMAC Tournament victories, setting the stage for a high-stakes weekend on their home floor.

Friday – Semifinals (Auraria Event Center):

  • No. 1 MSU Denver vs. No. 5 Colorado Mesa — 5 p.m.
  • No. 2 UCCS vs. No. 3 CSU Pueblo — 7:30 p.m.

The winners will meet in the RMAC Championship Match on Saturday at 5 p.m., hosted by MSU Denver. A tournament title would position the Roadrunners strongly for the NCAA postseason, with regional seeds looming next week.

Men's Basketball
Fresh off a high-scoring opening week in Denver, the MSU Denver men's basketball team heads south for a pair of non-conference matchups.

The Roadrunners split their first two games of the regular season and showcased one of their most explosive offensive stretches in recent memory — including their highest-scoring output in more than two decades.

This Week:

  • Thursday @ Texas A&M–Kingsville — 5:30 p.m. MT
  • Saturday @ St. Mary's (TX) — 12:00 p.m. MT

MSU Denver will look to bring its offensive rhythm on the road as they continue building momentum in the non-conference slate.

Women's Basketball
The women's basketball team continues its early-season road stretch with two games in Topeka, Kansas, at the Washburn Classic. Still searching for their first win under new head coach Lynn Kennedy, the Roadrunners aim to take another step forward after a competitive opening week.

This Week (Topeka, Kan.):

  • Friday vs. Northeastern State — 4 p.m. MT (Neutral)
  • Saturday @ Washburn — 3 p.m. MT

With two games in two days, MSU Denver will have opportunities to settle in offensively and find their rhythm before returning home next week.
