@MSUDenverVB: Roadrunners Reseeded as No. 4, Set to Face Wingate in Elite Eight

DENVER — The bracket dropped Sunday afternoon and it's official: MSU Denver Volleyball has been reseeded as the No. 4 seed in the final eight of the 2025 NCAA Division II Championship.

Their first challenge is a Thursday showdown with Wingate University, the No. 5 seed. The match is set for 3:30 p.m. MT in Sioux Falls.

Wingate enters the match riding a 31–1 overall record and a monstrous 30-match win streak — making them one of the most dangerous teams left in the tournament.

But MSU Denver arrives battle-tested, riding momentum from a brilliant stretch under coach Jenny Glenn:

  • A 20-match winning streak — the program's best since 2022.
  • A stout defense led by Alyssa Boyte, whose 106 total blocks and league-leading 1.14 blocks per set earned her RMAC Defensive Player of the Year.
  • Offensive balance behind standout performers like Annika Helf, and freshman setter Karyna Werley — both key parts of MSU Denver's recent run.

After earning their first ever NCAA Regional final victory last weekend and reaching the Elite Eight for the first time, the stage is the biggest match in Roadrunner volleyball history.

MSU Denver's trip to Sioux Falls begins Thursday at 3:30 p.m. MT — and for the first time in program history, a Final Four opportunity lies within reach. Look at the updated bracket HERE.
