DENVER - MSU Denver couldn't keep pace with Fort Lewis in the second half, falling 77-63 on Saturday afternoon. Despite a strong start, the Roadrunners were outscored 39-30 in the final two quarters, leading to their third consecutive loss.

The game saw multiple lead changes early on, with MSU Denver holding a slim 19-18 edge after the first quarter. However, Fort Lewis took control in the second, outscoring the Roadrunners 20-14 to take a five-point lead into halftime. The visiting Skyhawks pulled away in the third quarter, fueled by hot shooting from beyond the arc, including five three-pointers that widened the gap.

Katie Lamb led Fort Lewis with 21 points, shooting 5-of-8 from three-point range, while
Darla Hernandez added 18 points and four rebounds. Claudia Palacio Gamez and Trista Hoobler each contributed 11 points in the balanced scoring effort for the Skyhawks.

For MSU Denver,
Ashlyn Yow paced the offense with 16 points, connecting on three three-pointers.
Brianna Sealy chipped in 14 points and five rebounds, while
Nevaeh Millard and
Laci Roffle both added nine points. However, the Roadrunners struggled with turnovers, committing 20, which led to 28 points for Fort Lewis.

The Skyhawks' efficiency was a major factor, shooting 54.4% from the field and 53.3% from three-point range. In contrast, MSU Denver hit 44.7% of its shots but made just 59.1% from the free-throw line, missing key opportunities to stay in the game.

With the loss, MSU Denver drops to 6-14 overall and 5-7 in RMAC play. The Roadrunners will return to action next week as they hit the road to take on Colorado Mesa on Thursday, February 6, and Western Colorado on Saturday, February 8.
