ALAMOSA, Colo -- Sam Mader no-hits the Grizzlies in game one while
Miki Berg rakes in game two, as the Roadrunners complete the four-game sweep of Adams State.
The two wins improved MSU Denver's record to 14-6 overall with a 9-2 record in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Complex. The Grizzlies fall to 3-19 overall with a 1-11 record in the RMAC.
Game One:
Mader goes five innings and keeps the Grizzlies from recording a hit in the 14-0 win. The junior gave up zero runs on zero hits, walked one and struck six to record her third win on the season. It was her best outing of the season and her first scoreless outing of 2025.
The Roadrunners offense backed up Mader scoring 14 runs on 15 hits. Hanna DiFabio went 3-for-3 with three runs scored,
Natalie Shellhorn drove in four runs and
Neila Fee hit her first collegiate home run in the fifth inning.
Game Two:
The offense continued to roll in game two, as MSU Denver scored multiple runs in all but one inning in the 15-7 win. Berg continued her hot-hitting ways against the Grizzlies coming up a single short of the cycle going 4-for-4 with two doubles, a triple, her third home run of the season while scoring four times and driving in five. In three games, the senior went 8-for-11, scored five times, drove in nine, recorded two doubles, a triple and hit two home runs.
Genevieve Bower and
Cheyenne Prieto also hit home runs in the blowout. Fee had three hits and two RBI, while
Trish Leins drove in two runs of her own.
The Roadrunners are back home this next weekend, as they welcome in the Orediggers from the Colorado School of Mines for a four-game set.
