DENVER -- MSU Denver Roadrunner
Jenna Medhus was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association DII third team All-American at the utility/pitcher position Wednesday evening.
This news comes after Medhus was named to the All-RMAC first team and NFCA All-Region first team for her incredible season in the circle and at the plate. She now earns a spot on the All-American third team for the NFCA.
Medhus served as a dual threat for the Roadrunners, playing in 39 games as the designated player while pitching in 17 games with 15 starts in the circle. She led the conference in slugging and OPS, and only trailed teammate Jaiden Geist for the RMAC batting title with a .404 batting average. Medhus also ranked top-10 for OBP (.443), RBIs (51), triples (6), and home runs (12).
When she wasn't belting homers at the plate, Medhus was in the circle for the Roadrunners. She pitched the second-most innings for MSU Denver (77.2) with seven complete games. Medhus ended the season with a 3.94 ERA and 44 strikeouts, which both ranked second on her team.
