COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — MSU Denver baseball was picked among the conference's top contenders in the 2026 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, while also placing multiple players on the Preseason All-RMAC team, as announced by the league Wednesday afternoon.
The Roadrunners were ranked second overall in the preseason poll after receiving 53 points, tied with CSU Pueblo but placed behind Colorado Mesa, which earned the top spot with eight first-place votes, and CSU Pueblo, which finished second.
MSU Denver collected one first-place vote, along with multiple second- and third-place votes, reflecting strong confidence from conference coaches heading into the season. Head coaches were not permitted to vote for their own teams.
In addition to the high preseason ranking, MSU Denver was well represented on the 2026 Preseason All-RMAC Baseball Team, placing three Roadrunners on the list.
Senior catcher Royce Vandine earned preseason honors. The Pasco, Washington native anchors the Roadrunners behind the plate and returns as one of the league's top defensive catchers.
Senior third baseman Erubiel Ortiz also garnered preseason recognition following a standout year that earned him Gold Glove honors last season. Ortiz provides veteran leadership in the infield and remains one of the most reliable defenders and run producers in the RMAC.
On the mound, senior right-hander Nolan Livsey was selected as a Preseason All-RMAC starting pitcher after earning Second Team All-RMAC honors in 2025. Livsey, a native of Englewood, Colorado, returns as a key piece of the Roadrunners' rotation and one of the conference's most experienced arms.
With a top-three preseason ranking and multiple All-RMAC selections, MSU Denver enters the 2026 season positioned as a legitimate contender in the RMAC.
