@MSUDenverVB: Roadrunners Complete Perfect Home Weekend With Sweep of Regis

DENVER – MSU Denver volleyball capped a perfect weekend at the Auraria Event Center on Saturday afternoon, sweeping Regis 3-0 to earn its second straight straight-set victory and fourth consecutive win overall. The Roadrunners improved to 12-6 overall and 7-1 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play after winning all six sets across their two home matches.

MSU Denver set the tone early, taking the opening set 25-16 behind an efficient offensive performance. The Roadrunners recorded 19 kills on 37 attacks, hitting .459 while committing just two errors to take control of the match.

The Roadrunners carried that momentum into the second set, pulling away for a 25-15 win. Regis made things more competitive early, but MSU Denver continued to find opportunities at the net and used a balanced attack to move within one set of completing the sweep.

Regis pushed back in the third set, but MSU Denver responded with its strongest offensive output of the frame. The Roadrunners recorded 20 kills in the set and hit .349, closing out the match with a 25-18 victory to secure the straight-set win.

Hayden Liebsack led MSU Denver with 14 kills on a .480 hitting percentage, adding a service ace and 10 digs for a strong all-around performance. Brooke Gennerman delivered another efficient showing, finishing with 11 kills on a .550 hitting percentage. Gennerman also led the Roadrunners with four service aces and added six digs.

Mia Accomazzo anchored the back row with a team-high 11 digs, while setter GabriElle Brewer helped direct the offense with 18 assists and contributed three service aces and six digs.

Addison Schreurs added 21 assists and two aces as MSU Denver finished with 47 kills and a .366 hitting percentage.

The Roadrunners also made an impact from the service line, recording 11 aces compared to none for Regis. MSU Denver's defensive effort helped limit the Rangers to 27 kills and a .233 hitting percentage.

With a perfect home weekend in the books, MSU Denver will head back on the road next week while remaining in Colorado. The Roadrunners are set to face Colorado Christian before taking on CSU Pueblo as they continue RMAC play.
