GOLDEN, Colo. — No. 24 MSU Denver volleyball dropped a 3-0 decision to Colorado School of Mines on Saturday evening at Lockridge Arena, falling 25-22, 25-21, 25-20.
The match was part of the RMAC Regional Pod and did not count toward the conference standings. The Roadrunners move to 8-6 overall and remain 3-1 in RMAC play following Saturday's non-conference result.
Brooke Gennerman paced the Roadrunners offensively with 14 kills while adding 12 digs. The sophomore outside hitter finished with a .225 hitting percentage on 40 attacks and accounted for 14 of MSU Denver's 44 kills.
Mayah Pridgett provided another strong offensive performance with 10 kills on 22 attacks, hitting .364 for the match. She also led the Roadrunners with two solo blocks.
Defensively, Mia Accomazzo led all Roadrunners with 21 digs, while Gennerman added 12. GabriElle Brewer contributed eight digs to go along with 31 assists and an ace.
MSU Denver finished the night with 44 kills, 23 errors and a .165 hitting percentage, while Mines recorded 37 kills and hit .221. The Orediggers held the advantage in each set, with the Roadrunners coming within two points at 23-21 in the opening set before Mines closed it out 25-22.
The Roadrunners will return to RMAC action next weekend with a road trip to South Dakota. MSU Denver will face Black Hills State on Friday at 6 p.m. in Spearfish, S.D., before visiting South Dakota Mines on Saturday.
