Before MSU Denver: played one season at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, California in 2015-16 … averaged 9.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists … shot 40.2 percent on field goals … was on the dean’s list for five semesters … received coaches award in 2016.

High school: 2013 graduate of Foothill High School in Tustin, California …  2^nd team all sea-view league …  Knight of the year senior year …  Defensive-Stopper senior year.

Personal: Born Kyle Lawson on March 16, 1995 … son of Michael and Justine Lawson … has an older sister Megan … majoring in sport management with a minor in history and political science.
