2024: Made 11 appearances, all were starts and finished the season with a 7.84 ERA. He went 3-3 in 49.1 innings pitched, struck out 54 batters, walked 21 batters, gave up 11 home runs and opponents hit .293 against him. His best outing came against Montana State Billings, where Helton went a season-high seven innings while striking out eight batters, giving up just one hit and earning the 8-1 victory. He also struck out a season-high eight batters against Regis and CSU Pueblo. 

2023: Academic All-District. ... Made 12 appearances, including two starts, and was 2-1 with an 11.65 ERA. ... In 17 innings, walked 12 and struck out 19. ... Impressive in four-inning spot start against Colorado Christian in the second game of an April 21 doubleheader, earning the win in the seven-inning game by pitching four innings and striking out seven while allowing one run on four hits. ... Turned in back-to-back scoreless, one-inning outings, against New Mexico Highlands on April 8 and Adams State in the first game of an April 16 doubleheader, allowing just one hit.

2022: Made 14 appearances, including eight starts, and was 3-1 with one save and an 8.08 ERA. ... Fourth on the team with 49 innings pitched, allowed 44 runs (34 earned) on 62 hits, with 24 walks and 47 strikeouts. ... Fourth on the team in strikeouts. ... Winning pitcher in series-opening 21-12 victory at Adams State on April 14, striking out seven in five innings. ... Twirled second straight quality start -- six innings, one run -- while striking out eight and allowing only five hits to pick up win in 10-1 victory over New Mexico Highlands in the first game of a March 19 doubleheader. ... Turned in much-needed quality start, striking out a career-high 10 while allowing one run on four hits to get his first career victory as MSU Denver salvaged the final game of a four-game series at CSU-Pueblo on March 13 with a 14-3 win. ... Made his first career start against No. 13 Colorado School of Mines in the second game of a March 5 doubleheader, retiring the first 10 batters in order and facing the minimum through four innings while taking a no-hitter into the fifth. Took a no-decision after allowing four runs (three earned) in 4 1/3 innings. ... Picked up a four-inning save in a 10-3 win over Sioux Falls (S.D.) in the first game of a Feb. 26 doubleheader, allowing three runs on two hits. ... Pitched three hitless innings of relief in a 10-7 loss to Central Oklahoma in the first game of a Feb. 13 doubleheader. ... Made his MSU Denver debut in relief in the season opener in a Feb. 5 doubleheader against Minot State (S.D.) allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits in one inning.
