START TIMES:
- 9 a.m.: Collegiate Men’s 8K
- 9:45 a.m.: Collegiate Women’s 6K
- 10:15 a.m.: High School Boys 5K
- 10:45 a.m.: High School Girls 5K
- 11:30 a.m.: High School Boys JV 5K
- 12:15 p.m.: High School Girls JV 5K
SITE:
Washington Park - Denver
COURSE: Home of the 2022 NCAA Division II South Central Regional Championships
Women: 6,000 meters
Men: 8,000 meters
- Grass loop. The course is relatively flat. Spikes are recommended
- Women’s course: Two 3,000-meter loops
- Men’s course: 1 x 2000 meter loop, 2 x 3000 meter loops
- High school course: 1 x 2000 meter loop, 1 x 3000 meter loop (same as first 5K of men's course)
- 5,300 feet above sea level
OPEN COMPETITION: The Roadrunners Invitational is open to all athletes. Open/unattached and redshirt athletes will participate in the collegiate races, but will not be included in the team scoring for NCAA qualification purposes.
HIGH SCHOOL COMPETITION: The High School division is open to varsity teams only and no open athletes. Each team may enter up to eight athletes. Up to 20 teams will be granted a spot in the meet. Email Janis Christopher at jchris80@msudenver.edu to reserve your entry.
RULES OF COMPETITION: Competition governed by NCAA and CHSAA rules. Top five athletes from each team used for scoring. Runners 6 and 7 will be displacers.
ENTRY FEE:
- College: $225 per team for USTFCCCA members ($450 for men's and women's teams together)
- High School: $150 per gender ($300 for boys and girls together)
- High School JV is $20 per individual up to a maximum of $150 per gender
- Open and redshirt collegiate: $20 for open/unattached athletes and redshirt athletes
(Checks payable to MSU Denver Athletics-Cross Country)
TEAM ENTRY:
- College Teams and Unattached: Registration at Direct Athletics
- High School Teams: MileSplit
DEADLINE: The entry deadline is Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2022, at 5:59 p.m.
NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.
AWARDS: The top placing men's and women’s teams awarded a team trophy. The top 15 athletes per gender awarded T-shirts following the completion of the men’s race.
