Career: Strikethrower finished his career ranked fifth in program history with 2.2 walks per nine innings, sixth in wins (16), tied for seventh in games started (36), ninth in innings pitched (193 1/3) and 12th in strikeouts (143).
2022: All-RMAC honorable mention. ... Made 12 appearances, including 10 starts, pitched a team-high 55 innings, and was 5-1 with a 4.42 ERA. ... Allowed 33 runs, 27 earned, while walking 14 and striking out 34. ... Made gritty two-inning start on two days of rest in RMAC Tournament championship game at Nos. 10 and 14 Colorado Mesa on May 14, helping preserve the bullpen for an eventual 8-5 victory. He’d thrown 101 pitches on May 11. ... Twirled stellar season-high seven-inning outing to beat CSU-Pueblo 4-2 in the RMAC Tournament opener on May 11. Gave up five hits and two runs -- both unearned -- while striking out five. ... Improved to 4-1 with victory in 17-11 win at Regis on April 29. Allowed two runs through six innings before being charged with three runs inherited by the bullpen in a 6 2/3-inning outing. ... Earned first win of the season with six shutout, two-hit innings in an 11-1 win over Sioux Falls (S.D.) in the first game of a Feb. 21 doubleheader.
2021: Made 10 appearances, all starts, and again displayed consistent excellence, going 5-2 while allowing 30 runs (27 earned) in 51 1/3 innings, allowing 59 hits and 11 walks while striking out 50. ... Eighth in the RMAC with a 4.73 ERA, sixth with 1.9 walks per nine innings, and fifth with a 4.6 strikeout-to-walk ratio.. ... Over his last three regular-season starts, he was 3-0 with an 0.95 ERA, allowing only 13 hits and three walks in 19 innings while striking out 22. ... Dominated Colorado Christian in the season finale on May 8, pitching seven five-hit shutout innings, giving up one walk while striking out eight. ... Twirled a seven-inning complete game victory in the nightcap of a May 1 doubleheader against Regis, allowing two runs on four hits while walking one and striking out eight. ... Pitched five shutout innings in the second game of an April 17 doubleheader against Adams State, allowing four hits and one walk while striking out eight before the Roadrunners’ bullpen completed the 13-0 shutout. ... Allowed three runs or fewer in his first five starts. ... Turned in a quality start March 28 against CSU-Pueblo, allowing one run on six hits in six innings but settled for a no-decision. ... Pitched a seven-inning complete game March 20 at New Mexico Highlands, allowing three runs for a quality start while striking out six for his second straight win. ... Went five innings to beat CSU-Pueblo in a 12-10 win in the first game of a March 11 doubleheader, allowing four runs (two earned) on four hits with no walks and a career-high nine strikeouts. ... 2020: Made five appearances, including four starts, on the mound, going 1-2 with a 7.20 ERA. ... Third on the team with 20 innings pitched. ... Had tremendous ratio of 21 strikeouts and only two walks. ... Went four innings vs. Sioux Falls (S.D.) on Feb. 28, striking out three and picking up his first win of the season. ... Best outing of the year came out of the bullpen at Central Oklahoma on Feb. 22, as he went 5 1/3 innings and gave up just two hits while striking out five Bronchos and walking none.
2019: Shared the team lead with 12 starts while making 14 appearances overall. ... Spent most of the season as the Roadrunners' series-opening starter. ... Shared the team lead in wins while going 5-6 with a 6.04 ERA. ... Led the team with 67 innings pitched and was fourth with 38 strikeouts. ... Struck out 17 batters looking, tied for ninth-best in the RMAC. ... Pitched 52 1/3 innings in league play, 10th most in the RMAC. ... Won four straight starts from March 16 through April 5, posting a 4.50 ERA while allowing 26 hits in 26 innings. ... Capped a four-start win streak with a complete game against Colorado Christian on April 5, allowing three runs on six hits in the nine-inning game. ... Got the win against Regis on March 30 after allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits in seven innings, walking two and striking out four. ... Earned his first MSU Denver win on Feb. 15 against Sioux Falls (S.D.), allowing one run (unearned) on three hits while striking out eight in five innings. He was recognized for his effort by earning RMAC Pitcher of the Week on Feb. 19.
Before MSU Denver: Played two seasons for Garden City (Kan.) Community College...Received a medical redshirt for his sophomore season at after appearing in just three games due to injury...Went 8-4 with a 6.14 ERA during his two seasons with the Broncbusters of the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference, including 16 appearances, 15 starts and six complete games...Struck out 99 while walking just 26...Struck out 10.6 batters per nine innings…Went 3-0 with a 3.75 ERA in three starts as a freshman, recording 18 strikeouts and one walk in 17 innings...Coached by Chris Finnegan.
