Kevin Kouzmanoff enters his first season as an assistant baseball coach at Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2017-18. Kevin works with Roadrunner hitters and infielders.

Kevin joins the college coaching ranks after a highly successful Major League Baseball career. Kouzmanoff spent parts of 8 seasons playing for the Cleveland Indians, San Diego Padres, Oakland Athletics, Colorado Rockies and Texas Rangers.

In 2009 with the San Diego Padres, Kouzmanoff set the single season MLB record for fielding percentage by a third baseman with a clip of .990. Kouzmanoff holds a career batting average of .257 with 87 homeruns and a career fielding percentage of .961.

Kouzmanoff started his collegiate playing career at Cochise Community College. Kouzmanoff spent his junior season at Arkansas-Little Rock. Kouzmanoff then transferred for his senior season to University of Nevada-Reno, where he was teammates with Roadrunner Head Coach, Ryan Strain. Kouzmanoff was drafted in 6th round of the 2003 draft by the Cleveland Indians.

Kouzmanoff is a native of Evergreen, Colorado and currently resides in Lakewood.
