MSU Denver Athletics

Before MSU Denver: Sierra College in Rocklin, California in 2023 and with Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut. In his collegiate career, he has pitched in 64.1 innings with a 2.28 ERA sporting an 8-4 record, has recorded seven saves, has struck 137 batters, while hitting .373 with two home runs, 62 runs scored and 34 stolen bases.  
 
High School: St. Mary’s High School in Stockton, California and played under Gino Francheschetti. In 2022 struck out 96 batters in 40.1 innings pitched, sporting a 1.39 ERA with a 7-1 record, and adding four saves. Also hit .388 with two home runs, 39 runs and stole 22 bases. Also played football throwing for 1,178 yards and 15 touchdowns in eight games, while scoring nine times on 418 rushing yards. Was First Team All-League in baseball in 2019 and 2022 while playing at Linden High School. Was First Team All-League in football in 2022. 

Personal: Full name is Cruz Romualdo Herrera, birthday is February 8, 2004, son of Chris and Marsha Herrera, brothers Alex Herrera and Shelby Lackey and sister Gabby Herrera. Majoring in Psychology. Dad Chris played baseball at Cal Poly SLO, brother Shelby played baseball at the University of the Pacific and in the Rockies organization, sister Gabby played at the University of Oregon, the University of Nevada Reno and with the Neptunes Softball Club in Rotterdam, and brother Alex currently plays at Eastern Illinois.
