Erin Hiltner begins her seventh year as the associate athletic director for student services and senior woman administrator at Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2020-21.
Her duties include advising MSU Denver student-athletes in their undergraduate coursework and NCAA academic progress requirements while utilizing campus services to develop, coordinate and implement a life skills program for student-athletes. Hiltner also serves as advisor to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and helps students develop new programs within SAAC. She also assists athletics in game-day duties.Â
Hiltner was vital part of the execution of the 2016 NCAA Division II Spring Sport Festival in which over 70 teams and 1,000 student-athletes came to Denver to compete for national championships in men's and women's golf, men's and women's tennis, softball and women's lacrosse. Hiltner also served as the tournament director for the men’s golf championship at Green Valley Ranch Golf Club.
Prior to joining the Roadrunners, Hiltner worked at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs for the previous two years as assistant athletic director for NCAA compliance, while serving as senior woman administrator. At UCCS, she monitored the university’s compliance and eligibility for the RMAC, the NCAA and the institution. She also had game-day administrator responsibilities while managing the university’s gender equity and Title IX compliance. Hiltner also served on several committees within and outside the institution. Prior to her time at UCCS, Hiltner served as assistant commissioner of the Great Lakes Valley Conference, an NCAA Division II athletics league. With the GLVC, she was the liaison for compliance and eligibility and served as senior woman administrator.
A native of Limon, Colo., Hiltner also spent seven years at Colorado Mesa, beginning as a student worker and intern in the athletics department, and finishing as a graduation and registration specialist in the registrar’s office. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Colorado Mesa in 2006 in management, with a minor in wellness and corporate fitness, graduating with summa cum laude honors.Â
