Quintin Grogan

Quintin Grogan joins the ‘Runners staff after spending two seasons at Los Angeles Southwest College, helping the Cougars reach the state playoffs in both seasons. He served as an assistant coach during the 2006-07 season, helping the Cougars to a 17-14 overall record. In 2007-08, Grogan was promoted to associate head coach. He guided the team to the South Coast Conference-South Division Championship and a 23-9 overall record. During his time at LA Southwest he worked under legendary Head Coach Reggie Morris, who also served as Grogan’s high school coach.

Prior to his time at LA Southwest, Grogan served as Head Boy’s Varsity Basketball Coach for Marshall Fundamental High School in Pasadena, Calif. from 2002-2006. He guided the team to five consecutive California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) playoff berths. He also founded his own Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) club team, the Pasadena Hoops and coached the Junior College All-Star team, Compton Magic.

Grogan also spent eight years as a social science teacher in the Pasadena and Los Angeles Unified School Districts.

A graduate of California State University, Dominguez Hills with a B.S. degree in business administration/marketing, Grogan is currently pursuing his master’s in education.
